So it's been a really long time since I posted anything, perhaps it's becuase I have no computer at home. I have to wait til I get to work so no pictures either. Lots has happened in the last eight months. The kids have gotten bigger and have so much energy especially Rozalyn. Rozalyn is now three but she looks like she is four. Jonah is 1 1/2 and babbles a lot. In April we moved to Ivins has most of you know. The first week we were out there it took some getting use to the drive. I was late for work everyday becuase it's not a five min drive anymore. We like it here in Ivins and the neighborhood we live in. John is doing summer classes through USU online and for now he is behind. He has started a new job selling fertilizer as a independent contractor. I guess it is going well. He was sad that he had to give landscaping but physically he couldn't do it anymore after the accident. But he likes the job he has now. I have returned back to work, working part time has a teller and it has it's ups and downs. I like having the break from the kids and I'm sure they like having the break from me too. I like the people I work with in the teller area and it's nice earning some money but sad that I don't get to keep any of it. At least not yet. We have no plans for the summer just work and hanging out and trying to stay out of the st. george heat.

Wow how time flys

It's been quite awhile since I have posted anything on the blog so I will try and catch you up a bit. Well I have no internet at home so there won't be any pictures on this post because I am borrowing this computer. Lets see....Jonah had a birthday he turned one on October 2nd and lucky me I turn older too on the same day. I can't believe how fast time goes. Last year around this time we were in Michigan waiting for Jonah to get cleared from the hospital and now here we are and he is already one.

Jonah's adopted finalized in July and we were so happy. It took long enough, Michigan seems to like taking their time on stuff like this. There was one time I called our social worker just to see how much longer things would take and when we would get the order of adoption. She told me it's summer time and the judges and the clerks take vacation so it might take a little longer. It seems to me that everyone takes vacation all year long because that is how it was with Rozalyn too and we were there a different time of year. Go Michigan. All in all it's finished.
We decided to bless and seal Jonah in September which was nice to have that done with also and make him a part of the family forever. It was really nice to have family there also.

Well that about sums it up. We don't lead a fun life at the moment so it's a short post but hopefully next time I will be able to have pictures.

Hogle Zoo

this wasn't at the zoo but we stopped at a park on the way home.
Jonah liked the swing
I don't know, do you think he is
having fun?

Daddy and Rozalyn sitting on a alligator

This elephant spit water of of his nose
Rozalyn thought that was funny

So last Friday we went up to the Hogle Zoo because we thought Rozalyn would like it. It was a very hot day and being "black"and all I just absorbed the sun but it was fun anyway. Despite the fact that I have no pictures of Rozalyn by any real animals does not mean we didn't go. The few that I have of course she is not looking at the camera and it is always of the back of her head. She kept talking about all the animals she would see at the zoo three days before we went and then when we got there she only spent like two seconds there and then wanted to leave. I guess that's what you get from a 2 1/2 year old. Although he didn't say much Jonah had a good time too. It was nice to get out of town for a bit and spend time with my little family even though the kids hated their car seats and cried more the usual, I might do it again.

Cute kids!
Very rarely do I get both my kids together for a picture.
Rozalyn is always on the go.

Having fun in the rain.

Just chillin.

Rozalyn thought is was pretty cool to have an umbrella.

Having some fun

I decided to give Jonah a pickle just to see if he liked it.
I think he liked it despite the face he is pulling.

What a cute little baseball player.

I think it's the hat that makes her look so cute.

She was pointing at plane

John decided to go and buy Rozalyn a tee ball set because she has been talking about baseball for awhile, so here's a little video of her. I think she is pretty good not to mention being so cute while doing it.

Trying the potty training thing

Yesterday I decided to try big girl underwear on Rozalyn hoping to maybe start potty training. We have every once in a while put Rozalyn on the potty to see what would happen and nothing became of it so I really didn't push it that much. So a few days ago I went and bought her underwear. I even let her pick them out, you know make her feel like a big girl. So Yesterday afternoon after nap time I decided to put them on her and let her run around in the backard. I kept telling her that if she needed to go potty to let me know. Well that didn't work so well because fifteen minutes she pooped in them. So I changed her and put new underwear on her and everyhour took into the bathroom and set her on the potty and she actually went. I was so excited for her that she went pee pee in the potty. I also told her each time she went in the potty she could have two m&m's so that was kind of an insentive. She did really well for about four hours and then she was sitting on John's lap outside and it was almost her bedtime so I was waiting to take her potty one last time. I guess i waited to long and john had asked me to take her before that but I didn't and she peed on John. A big pee pee. I just laughed because it was all down his side and got on his phone and on his big chair. He wasn't to thrilled that I was laughing at him but perhaps he deserved it. So maybe instead of big girl underwear right away I will get some pull-ups and try those first until she is completely potty trained. My baby girl is growing up to fast but at the same time I am ready for her to be out of diapers. Two kids in diapers kind of gets expensive.

The other day Rozalyn had found a dollar and was walking around with it saying "Jesus, Jesus." After I had laughed about it, I had to explain that George Washington was not Jesus. Perhaps she was confused a little by the hair because she sometimes confuses Santa with Jesus too. Oh well she's cute.

Growing up so fast

I thought this was cute and funny.

Rozalyn loves looking out the window especially if she see's cousin Jacob across the street.

She's just so cute.

Hats just makes all babies look adorable.

Yes, we styled his hair.
Kids just learn and grow up so fast. The other day Rozalyn was coloring and she has these crayons that are shaped like triangles so she picked one up and said "triangle" so I told her very good and that she was smart. Then she picked up a blue one and said " look mommy, red triangle." Hey, she can't be smart about everything just yet. Jonah is getting bigger all the time but the best part about him right now is that he sleeps 12 hours a night. Yea for me. He is pretty chunky these days so his new nick name is chunkers. That's part of what makes him so cute. It's hard to believe that Rozalyn is 2 and Jonah is already 5 months. Where does the time go?

bless the icecream

So John and I have been teaching Rozalyn to fold her arms while we say prayers. For awhile she was doing it thinking this is fun to fold my arms and to follow mom and dad. Now we have a hard time getting her to fold her arms. I think she thinks that if she folds her arms it means she has to go to bed which it does at night time but I think she thinks it's that way with all prayers. So today at dinner we tried again to get her to fold her arms but no luck. Later on I gave her some icecream and on her own she folded her arms and said "dear heavenly father". So she won't pray for dinner but she sure will bless that icecream she is eating. What cutie!

Oh Poop!

I 've heard stories from other people who've had experiences such as these and all I could think about was I hope that it never happens to me. Well I was wrong. Yesterday I put Rozalyn down for a nap at 2:30 and it usually takes her awhile to get to sleep. I kept checking on her every once on awhile telling her to lay down and try and go to sleep. At around 4:00 John came home and I told him to go get her up becuase I figured she wasn't going to nap and that I would just send her to bed early. Well John went in there a few minutes later and I heard him say poo poo. Oh you went poo poo, let me go get mommy. As soon as he said that I knew something was wrong because he's usually good about changing poopy diapers. So I went in there and Rozalyn had her hands up like she had something on them and sure enough she did. POOP. She also had it on her legs and arms. She didn't have here diaper off yet but she was trying to. She had also taken the garbage bag out of her trash that was sitting on her dresser, dumped that trash into the can and had the bag in the crib with her. I assumed she was trying to take the diaper off and put it in the trash bag becuase that's what we do with her diapers when we change her. So I took her into the bathroom holding her away from me as best I could and told her not to touch anything until I could get the bath water ready. After I put her in the tub I went and took all her bedding, her stuffed animals and threw them in the washer. What a fun experience..not, I hope that it never happens again but I won't hold my breath. Plus I have another child to do this.

Christmas 2009

Santa was very generous this year

Jonah slept through the whole thing

Rozalyn enjoyed opening her gifts but what she really liked was the empty boxes and paper

We got her this cleaning set because she likes to help mommy around the house.

This is Clifford the horse. Rozalyn loves riding him. She hasn't been bucked off yet.

Christmas was very good this year. Rozalyn got a lot of stuff that I think over whelmed her that she didn't want to play with anything that she got. She did really enjoy opening things but that was about it. I guess other people thought that she needed stuff so most of the presents where for her. As they should be. Right? My mom and little brother came down for christmas and it was nice having them here. Also my older brother came and suprised us a few days before Christmas. It's been over a year since I seen them. Christmas eve we went over to John's parents house and had Christmas eve dinner which was really yummy. There we got to spend time with more family. That was a lot of fun too.
I really like the Christmas season for the times we get to spend with family, eat really good food and open presents. Also Christmas is the time we really remember the birth of our savior and the sacrifice he made for us. May we not just remeber him at Christmas time but through out the whole year.

We're back

my sweet children . oh and John

this is when he is the best
aww... sibling love.

this is just because Rozalyn is so cute.

So we finally got out baby boy and the experience wasn't as rough and long as it was with Rozalyn. Jonah was born on October 2 and weighed 8lbs 4oz. The whole process after Jonah was born took about a month, which is defiantly better than four months. Jonah spent some time in the NICU about three weeks which was ok because we had to be in Michigan for about two weeks. Michigan cleared us to go home before Jonah was actually released from the hospital. He is a cute boy and as many of you know, he is a half brother to Rozalyn. The ride home I'd say was the most difficult part of this whole process. He did not like his car seat and he cried the whole time. We made a lot of stop which made the trip even longer. All we wanted was to get home. We did finally get home on October 31 and unfortunatly late enough that Rozalyn missed Halloween. There's always next year, right? We have been home about three weeks now and the issue with Jonah crying all the time is still going on. I admit this has been really hard. Some people don't believe us when they come to visit becuase he is usually sleeping so they don't believe us when we say he crys a lot. Believe me he does. I'm hoping that this phase will soon pass. Rozalyn has been done really well with this whole process and she is a great big sister.

I don't know what to think

So last Friday on the 18th we got the call that we needed to be in Michigan on Monday. A million questions are going through my mind and that's all they could tell us because of security reasons for our birth mother. So all day friday we arrange things to get ready to go. John found tickets to fly out the next day and we arranged for Rozalyn to stay with John's sister and her husband. They were gracious enough to do that for us. So Saturday afternoon we flew to Michigan and got there around 10 michigan time and then we still had to get a car rental. By the time we left michigan airport it was around 11:30. We drove a ways outside of Detroit to find a motel we just thought that would be safer. So we found a motel and got something to eat around midnight because it had been 12 hours since we ate last. Any way the next day we drove to Ann Arbor where we were suppose to be and just drove around getting use to the area. On Monday we went to the social office and unoffically they told us that our birth monther was going in that day and they would call us to let us know when the baby was born. So John and I went out and got a few last minute things. At around 1:30 we get the call that there is some bad news. Apparently they had our birth mother preped and ready to go for a c-section and they did one last ultra sound and decided that the baby was not ready to come out so they resceduled for Oct 2. Apparently the doctor at the prison said that she was ready and she wasn't. So we were bummed and mad that we had come all the way to michigan, wasted money flying and renting a car and stay at a motel and then find out no baby. I'm thinking our birth mother was disappointed also because she really wants this baby out because she has been incomfortable and is really big. What the @#%@ was the prison doctor thinking. We were told that he is not a very nice doctor. So I guess we get to do this all a again in about 2 weeks. We left all our stuff there with some friends so we didn't have to pay to bring it back and then take it with us again. I guess if everything ran smoothly it would be to normal.

What a cutie

She looks like she belongs in the tropic islands

Just thought I would show off Rozalyn in her pretty dress. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Bunderson for the outfit.

Counting Down

I talk to our birth mom today, she is so ready for this baby to come. So are we. Just 20 more days until baby Jonah is born it sounds like she will have him on Sept. 30th. If not it will be around the 1, 2, 3 of October. I can't believe it's almost here. I really enjoy sleeping through the night but I guess that is the fun of it all. We still don't know how we are getting there or how long we actually have to stay. Hopefully things will fall into place before I have a melt down.

A new addition

As most of you know John and I are adding to are family. Yes we are adopting again. This time it is a baby boy and he will be a half brother to Rozalyn, meaning it's the same birth mother. We were notified the beginning of June about this baby and at first we were really excited because we thought it would be really nice for Rozalyn to have a sibling. Then it hit that John is still recovery from his accident that happened in April and that we didn't have any $$. We prayed about it and went to the temple to find an answer and needless to say we are going to adopt. He will be born October 3rd the day after mine and hopefully John will be able to remember our birthdays. HA HA. We haven't decided how we are going to get there and once we are there, exactly how long we have to stay. The people in Michigan say no more that two weeks. We are going through a different agency this time so maybe and hopefully they are right. For those of you who know last time was to long. If any of you have any suggestions for us on options of getting to michigan or maybe where could fall into some $$ please let us know. Amber if you happen to get your 4 million can we borrow some. JK. Did I tell you your one of the best sister-n-laws I ever had. Anyway we are very excited and we know that everything will work out just fine.

a little scare

so on Monday night at about 10:30 Rozalyn had woken up so I brought her out with John and I to comfort her back to sleep. Everyone knows that's a big mistake becuase she was wide a wake. Any way we were eating some cashews and Rozalyn wanted some so John gave her some little pieces. about 2 min later she started coughing so I thought she had a piece stuck in her throat so we gave her something to drink and she didn't want it. so I took her in the bedroom with me and she started crying and I thought it was because she didn't want to go back to sleep. Then I noticed that her face was swelling up and realized that she was having a allergic reaction to Cashews. So Jonh and I loaded her up in the car and went to the hospital. It was kinda funny to see John try and move so fast because as you know he's a crippled. Any way I broke a few laws getting to the hosiptal and in the mean time Rozalyn through up in the car. I have to say I no longer have the new care smell. It now smells like vomit. YEA! We got the hospital and I took her in the they saw her with in a few mins but it took the doctor about twenty to get there and decide how much medicine to give. All in all it took about a half hour for the medicine to kick in and for her calm down. Needless to say everything is all good now and we have to carry a Epipen with us at all time and she can no longer have nuts any kind of nuts for a year. We also have and appt with and allergist to find what else she might be allergic to and the extinct of it. Both John and I were worried about the whole thing and we didn't know but I guess that's what you find out as parents.
